“You may not like it all, but if you don’t even know that it exists, how are you going to make up your mind?” — Frank Zappa
I’m opinionated and open-minded. I want to entertain you, and simultaneously surprise you with an inspired and awkward mix of poetry and music. There is mind-blowing music and poetry everywhere, and I will sample, but I occasionally regress to my comfort-Beatles-Cure-Pretenders-Wilco-zone. Feel free to join me or jolt me there!
I have roots in San Francisco and branches in Sonoma, but I’m not very tree-like, because I love to cycle…I was raised in North Beach, got my B.S. in Conservation at Cal(& DJ’ed at KALX Berkeley in ’92-3), and have been a proud public servant ever since! As a National Park Ranger, I am an “interpreter”, which means I’ve taught and guided and expounded on John Muir, Alcatraz, and the Bridge, and I currently focus on the Presidio. Married in ‘91, and moving into our first home in Sonoma in ‘94, my wife Donna and I have 2 boys: Ryland is in SVHS and Gage is in Sonoma Charter.
